Joseph-Beth Booksellers opened its doors on September 15, 2001, for published Cincinnati-area writers to share their books of poetry with the public.
Kevin Walzer displays a copy of Greater Circles, which was published in July 2001.
An audience of 25 gathers around the fireplace at Joseph-Beth to hear Kevin read his work, including the poem "Father Feeding."

The warming suck. The breath of him as milk holds health in store. The steady rock against my chest, a clock that measures time as now alone, the where and how and why irrelevant, this rhythm innocent. |
After the poets read their work, they sat down to sign books. From left to right:
Kevin Walzer with Greater Circles,
Carol Atkins with Leaving,
Myrna Stone* with The Art of Loss, and
Jan Graham with Moonshine in a Mason Jar.
Ms. Stone is the recipient of two Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowships in Poetry.
