CustomWords seeks to recognize new and established poets, and celebrate the diverse poetries being written in the United States. We sponsor two poetry contests--Edges: A Poetry Series (fall), and the CustomWords Poetry Prize (spring).
Poets should submit a full-length manuscript (minimum 48 pages) with SASE for notification of winner. The reading fee is $20.00, payable to CustomWords (add $7.50 for copy of winning book). The winner receives a cash award of $1,000, and 25 copies of his/her book. The address to send submissions is CustomWords, P.O. Box 541106, Cincinnati, OH 45254-1106. The annual deadline is November 22.
